The Purina Walk for Dog Guides is a national event with more than 200 Walks across Canada. This is the Foundation’s largest annual fundraiser and raises funds to help train Dog Guides for Canadians with visual, hearing, medical or physical disabilities. The Walks are organized by local volunteers with support from Lions Foundation of Canada and have raised more than $7 million since it began.

To celebrate 100 years of Sunshine Sketches of a Little Town, Streets Alive!
unveils Leacock Chairs. The chairs are designed and hand-painted by local artists, then displayed on Orillia's streets. The chair sculptures will remain on display as an outdoor public art exhibit all summer.

The Mariposa Folk Festival presents over 100 folk performances within a time span of three days. Renowned artists, underground artists and up-and-comers entertain the crowds each July. Local artisans display their crafts and there is a kids' area as well.

Attracting more than 200 participants, it’s a three-day round robin tournament that raises funds to support The Princess Margaret Hospital Cancer Research Fund. This fun and competitive weekend provides hockey lovers with a chance to get away with friends and family and support a great cause.

Praising the glories of winter, this festival puts some fire into the cold and snow. The ever-changing roster of events has included snow/ice sculpturing, sleigh rides, skating, activities for the kids and a chili cook off. The brave can also participate in a Polar Bear Dip. Come and let the snowballs fly!
